Day six: Something in school you really liked doing that everyone else bitched over

6. Something in school you really liked doing that everyone else bitched over.

RELIGION! I’ve always really liked learning about other religions, because, you know, religion is a big part of people’s identity and culture, and I don’t want to be the one who goes ‘’Allah who?’’ I’m a true atheist myself, but still like to learn about people’s beliefs, even if I think they are...stupid. :) The biggest wars are fought over religion and I think that having some kind of clue really helps with understanding the problems we all struggle with. What I also liked about the subject is the fact that even though you never do your homework or read for a test, you can still always answer the questions in some way. We all know more than we think, because we save all the little facts we hear and see in the news. So according to me it is almost impossible to fail.

A lot of my former classmates don’t agree though, but I suspect that had to do with the teacher.

About me being an atheist: I just don’t buy it people. Someone up there? No way. Mystic forces? Yeah right. Following the rules of some book, roll of paper, prophet or son of God? Bitches please, don’t insult my intelligence. I respect everyone’s views, but sometimes I feel that if you ask questions, everyone thinks you are being ‘’rude’’. Dude, that’s not rude, that’s just not swallowing whatever your parents have been telling you, and their parents before them. I at least TRY to think for myself, and I’m proud of being like that, religion-wise. I haven’t got a clue about anything else.
