NEVER shoot the messenger!

Tony: If Doctor Parnassus can really control people's mind, why isn't he ruling the world,then? Eh? Why bother with this little... side show?

Anton: 'Side show'? He don't... he don't want to rule the world. He wants the world to rule itself!
 

I went to see The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and I have extremely mixed feelings about it. It was a beautiful movie, with the best backgrounds ans nice oneliners, but the whole thing was just so... weird. I like weird, I AM weird, but the movie came to such a sudden stop that I barely realized that it was over. I didn't totally get the story, and the *spoiler,spoiler* betrayal of Tony made me shiver. But it was fun to watch and a great performance of all the actors. It was Heath Ledger last movie and that was really weird to think about while watching his scenes. Depp, Farrell and Law did a great job, but I'd probably liked it better if he finished it himself.
